Product recommendation software has helped online hosiery retailer Mytights.com to an 18 percent increase in revenue in a difficult market.
Mytights.com was the first company to adopt a new recommendations technology from Peerius that enables it to automatically generate and serve recommended products for visitors on both the product and basket pages of its website.
Currently around 12 percent of all visitors click on recommended products, and over 26 percent of all orders now contain additional products that were recommended through the Peerius software. The results have improved month on month as the technology learns and adapts to how visitors respond to product recommendations.
‘We are always looking to improve what we do and the way we do it and if we can encourage our visitors to buy more and more often through better interaction with our site then it would be crazy not to do it,’ said Laura Godsal, owner and founder of Mytights.com.
