Protest sets up UK base

Design-led boardwear brand Protest has set up a UK subsidiary in a bid to increase its market share and replicate its fast growth in other European markets.

The Dutch label already distributes across 41 countries and has identified the UK as its next target market.

The brand will launch with its s/s 10 range, which includes a full collection of swimwear, while spring and autumn ranges will integrate full lines of streetwear.

Protest has recruited Paul Wilkinson, previously O’Neill’s UK sales and marketing director, as UK country manager. He will be joined by John Tyson, formerly in charge of key accounts and product development at O’Neill.
