Following the success of football screenings and movies in 3D as well as the announcement of Sky’s new 3D channel, fashion isn’t far behind as Burberry plans to screen an upcoming catwalk show in 3D at private events across the world.
The Burberry show takes place on 23 February at the Chelsea College of Art in London and will be shown via a live stream in New York, Paris, Dubai, Tokyo and Los Angeles. It will be shown in custom-made screening spaces designed by Burberry’s chief executive officer Christopher Bailey in association with Sky TV.
It’s seen as the first step towards making all fashion show screenings 3D.
