Cortefiel's expansion plans will be supported by Brand Empire, which was set up in 2009 by Land Securities to help international retailers enter the tough UK market. They are putting investment into Cortefiel, who will retain control of stock and marketing of the brand.

Three chains will be opened in the UK, including Cortefiel and Springfield alongside lingerie chain Women’s Secret, and are due to open in the summer this year with expansions planned over the next 5 years.

Cortefiel operates in 60 countries and debuted in the UK market in September 2009 in Debenhams concessions, which have now closed.
