Urban Outfitters followed an announcement of record 2009 sales with their plan to extend the business in 2011 by launching an as yet unnamed bridal brand providing bridalwear, accessories and intimate apparel.
The American-based company will launch the new bridal brand online first before opening stores across the US with plans to expand internationally. Urban Outfitters is a successful store in the UK and sister store Anthropologie has also gained a following of British consumers with the opening of two London-based stores.
It is hoped that the new bridal brand will be launched by Valentine’s Day 2011.
