Speedo has launched its new Shapeline range, aimed to suit different body shapes in what it describes as 'the nearest thing to a made-to-measure swimsuit.'
Shapeline has been designed by Speedo's R&D Aqualab team, which includes three lingerie experts, and the selection of swimwear is based on the different shapes of 5,400 women who were scanned during a survey on body type.
The data led to the categorisation of body shapes into three types: Bottom Hourglass, Hourglass and Top Hourglass, which went into the design of the three swimsuits. The Bust Shaper, Waist Shaper and Tummy and Hip Sculptor have all been designed to target areas of the body that cause women the biggest concern.
Each of the styles contains a stomach panel for extra support and seams to help balance out body shape. Bra sizes range from 30B to 34G and the swimsuits are available in sizes 10-20.
